research interests:

I obtained my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Uppsala University, Sweden. My main interest was to identify local adaptation of spruce along parallel latitudinal clines, by studying the allele frequency spectra differentiation.

My present postdoc research in this lab mainly concerns using RNA-seq data to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between highly divergent Drosophila species, or between populations that have been adapted to different temperatures. My task is to answer the following questions 1) are there any genes exhibiting sex-biased expression patterns? and 2) what is the role of natural selection on these genes?
